Good morning, and here is the our new and improved technical newsletter. We know it is long over due, but wanted to finish our latest website in order to dedicate our full attention to the functionality of our newsletter system. In each edition, once a month, you will see Recent News and articles form our blog @ JeremySelph.com. There will be Virus reports and steps to remove them, along with tips and tricks from our trade. All this and more is free to you, to use in your everyday computer and technical use.

Virus Report
Most recent virus Backdoor.Cycbot which is a Trojan horse that opens a back door on the compromised computer. In order to safe guard yourself, make sure all antivrus and firewall software’s are up-to-date and working properly. You can use Malwarebytes and/or CCleaner to remove this virus and others if your antivirus program did not detect it when you where infected. If you are still experiencing problems call us and we can remove it immediately, onsite or remotely! Call @ 732-806-0431!
The train of viruses that we seem to encounter still on a day to day basis is the fake virus alerts, see google images here. These viruses make their way to your computer via email attachments, links in facebook, linkedin, myspace, etc, and other websites as well. They install themselves with out you knowing and look like authentic Microsoft antivirus software. They make numerous popups that alert you to possible infected files and websites that can harm you computer. When in fact it is infecting your computer and others on your network with the same virus as you do the free scans or pay for the activation that never activates. Beware it is an annoying virus and can harm you files and other software installed on your computer. As the first virus we discussed you can use Malwarebytes and/or CCleaner to remove this virus, but we have seen certain version of the ‘Antirus Virus’ disable other antivirus and anti-mailware applications. Tips and Tricks
Need a way to link your Google account with outlook!! Check out Gsync this software allows you to link calendars, contacts, and tasks in google with your Microsoft outlook. Great if you have multiple computers that you work on and don’t have a need for a exchange server.
Free Antivirus and Firewall software; Malwarebytes, CCleaner, HijackThis(only if you know what you are doing!!), and AVG Free.
